An update from Timo Bentley, Charlos’ brother Timo:

Hey guys here’s is an update on my brother Charlos who got hit by a drunk driver on the side of the road while loading his truck for a beach day in front of his home. This is day 29 of Los being in the ICU and in a coma. We are on the road to recovery and every single prayer is helping him grow stronger and stronger.

The last 5 days have been filled with a lot of ups and downs including great sessions on CPAP breathing, one of those sessions going for a full 24 hours at 35% which was outstanding and now he is on brain rest which means, while he is weening off most of his heavy medications we have been instructed by the doctors to keep it super calm within his room and for us to make sure he is as comfortable as possible, maintaining different positions that he likes and or keeping him cool with cold rags or ice packs etc. He is still having severe neuro-storming episodes which once again mean vitals going out of control along with excessive sweating and fevers, the reason for all this, is to now focus on wakefulness and to get him completely off the ventilator and after, assess his new baseline. The staff infection is now fully under control, which is really cool. His white blood cell count is creeping up again, so we are watching that closely to determine the reason. He had a replete CT scan which showed improvements with his brain lesions and showed no swelling or fluid on the brain.

Last night was slightly rough with his fever spiking between 102 to 103 but the nurse today is trying to control that with some mild medications.

Realistically we have a very long road ahead of us, spiritually I believe In miracles and Gods hand on this whole process, so you never know what He has planned for my brother and that’s why this prayer chain is so crucial, I can’t wait to show him all the support that has come out of this when he wakes up.

Thanks to everyone who showed up to our fundraiser yesterday you guys are amazing and a massive special thank you to those who organized it, you know who you are, and I can’t thank you guys enough. The donations to our go fund me are still super important as well due to massive medical bills that are stacking up heavy.

Please Keep praying for his fevers to disappear, pray he gets off the ventilator and breathes on his own, pray he opens his eyes and gains consciousness, pray for peace and guidance to make the right decisions for him within my family. 🙏🙏

Just like Mathew 18:20 says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them” so I’m pretty sure if we have thousands upon thousands of people praying for the same thing, Gods got it handled. That’s the update. Love you guys.
