Day 37 update

Los had a challenging Sunday morning and early afternoon. He ‘stormed’ a lot and the meds seemed to have little, if any effect on him. Once he was laid flat, his storming subsided and he began to rest. Once resting , the nurses gave him additional meds which kept him asleep for several hours. Once he awoke, Los became active and deliberately tried repeatedly to remove his ‘belly band’ wrap, grab ice packs and sheets. Later in the evening, Los repeated the same activities. He would go, rest and try again as we spoke to him. He opened his eyes a little but did not appear to be able to ‘track’ our fingers in front of him.

His late night/early morning hours were a bit restless but his temperature, blood pressure and heart rates remained manageable.

White counts good!! 🙏. They were at 12 yesterday, and down to 11 today.

X-rays are clear and good. Preliminary report on cultures are negative.

Prayer focus for today: for Los’s purposeful movement and wakefulness to continue to increase while doctors keep him off meds and see how his body can react and fight through this stage of the recovery process. 🙏🙏

Let’s go, Los! 💪
