July 3 & 4 UPDATE from Los’s dad, Charles:
Los is enjoying Fourth of July restfully in his new hospital bed with a normal temperature, no storming, and in good care.
Los arrived here Wednesday evening and was bathed & made comfortable right after he arrived. He was resting well when we got to his room.
Yesterday, Los rested most of the day after a couple hours of early morning storming. His neurologist ordered an in-room EEG just to ensure there was nothing negative going on with his brain; that will be read later today or on Monday. 🙏
We have had his gastroenterologist and a pulmonary doctor both look at him already this morning; they were truly concerned & hopeful for him. Isaac, Los’ Respiratory Therapist (RT), has been in several times and changed him over to the CPAP mode on his ventilator; so far he’s doing really well on that.
I met with his night nurse, Anh, at the end of her shift and she confirmed he did well last night with no real storming, just a slightly elevated temp & sweating. Anh was also very nice and interested in how we knew how to handle his storming & other details 🥰
Our nurse today, Deanna, is really on top of things and doing great, you can tell this is more than a ‘job’ for her❤️🩹 She is bathing him now, changing his gown etc., and getting him ready to ‘party’ with the rest of us! 🎉
Please continue to pray for Los’s daily care, wisdom for the doctors and staff, and a full recovery for which we are very hopeful! Timo has been receiving so many positive responses for other families who have had a very similar journey with their loved ones. God is good all the time and all the time, God is good!
We love you all, have a wonderful Fourth of July!
