Day 44
Charlos had a good night with his nurse Frances, she told me he hardly stirred and maintained good vital readings, even though the doctors have reduced the amounts of key medications. Praise the Lord also that his digestive track seems to be working mostly normal now. thank you for your prayers regarding this!
Charlos remains calm with little to no neuro storming or posturing through all of his repositioning, bathing, receiving medications, suctioning his trachea, cleaning his mouth, PT, and general care. This shows progress and healing. The physical therapy (PT) team has been working with Los daily and Los is responsive to the touch and movement.
Since the PT left, Los had his head off of his bed for about 30 minutes on and off. He seems to be trying to get up. He had his eyes open for about 20 minutes on and off and it still appears to be very alert.
Also, at the sending of this message, Charlos has been off his ventilator & breathing on his own for 41 hours & 30 minutes and is going strong! This is amazing progress! Keep it up Los!!!
Please pray all this forward progress continues and Los becomes more conscious for longer periods of time. This will all help him get to his nest level of rehab sooner and it will make that rehab work more profitable for him.
