Day 47

Overall, Charlos had a good day yesterday as we had a fair amount of interaction with the administration here and with the new facility regarding timing and logistics for the next move. Just to verify all is well, one of the doctors ordered a CT scan for Charlos today and results came back negative for any problems so that was great news.

Los had minimal storming yesterday but a lot of interaction with his eyes opening closing and looking at us which was exciting. He also opened his mouth about 7 times throughout the day & evening which is huge because it’s still closed shut with rubber bands and braces. The doctors are arranging a time to remove those rubber bands and braces over the next few days; we are sure that will make him a ‘happy camper’ when all that is removed.

Last night the nurse said he rested pretty well with almost no storming. He was a little warm this morning when I got here at 6:00 but now he’s resting, cooled down and calm.

Charlos is still breathing well on his own as he has been these past four days; please pray this continues as this is a key factor for his ability to move on to his next step of rehab.

Los’s day has already begun with his new nurse, the respiratory therapist checking on him and changing out some of his oxygen set-up; all is well! About the same time, we had the wound care team looking at him literally from head to toe. They found all his wounds are healing well with no infections or complications!

Please continue to pray that this progress for Charlos’ healing and his improvement continues, so that we are always moving forward towards his full recovery!

Thank you, and many blessings to all,

Charlos’s family
