Hey everyone! Brooke has been so incredibly grateful for the amount of love and support on this journey thus far. To take a load off her plate and keep her from feeling overwhelmed we are going to do weekly updates so she doesn’t feel the need to keep up with everyone individually.
She is all consumed at Craig and in a great way. Charlos has multiple therapies a day that she and the kids get to participate in. And on top of that she is also trying to entertain two beach kids in a big city.
Her sister Lyndsay is happy to be a point of contact for anyone. Here is her update from today. Update from Brooke
Hi everyone,
I just want to say how deeply grateful we are for the outpouring of love, prayers, and messages. The support has truly been overwhelming in the best way. While I wish I could respond to every single message, I just can’t keep up right now. Please know that I read them all, and they mean the world to us. I’d love for CaringBridge to continue being the place where you check in for updates—it helps me so much to know you’re all walking alongside us in prayer.
Update on Charlos
Yesterday, Charlos had surgery to remove the fluid in his thigh, and everything went well. He now has a vacuum drain in place, and thankfully, there is no concern for infection. The incision is a pretty good size, so we are praying for comfort, pain management, and plenty of rest for him over the weekend.
Please also keep Grampy (Charlos’ dad) in your prayers as he returns to work. He has been by his son’s side everyday since the accident. Being away right now is going to be really hard for him, and we know he could use strength and peace.
Thank you all for continuing to lift us up in prayer. We feel it and are so very grateful.
With love,
Brooke
