All the prayers are working and truly making an impact!!
Los had a much better sleep last night. Dex (sedation med) has remained off. They started a “wake-up” med late yesterday and will keep that going today (now that Dex is off… with the hope that can help bring him out of the coma now that his vitals are back and in a consistent, stable condition).
CPAP went longer yesterday (4 hrs) and is back to going the right direction again (versus the 1/2 hr. the day before)!! White cell counts are down from 16 yesterday to 12 this morning. 🙏🙏. A good sign the antibiotics he is on are doing their job.
The initial result of the Culture sampling they took is showing indication of Staph. The good news is that the antibiotics the doctor already had Los on was a broad-spectrum med that helps fight staph infection. Full cultures results will be back in the next 24hrs and will allow doctor to pinpoint exact specialized meds to zap whatever staph infection (or anything else) that may be remaining.
But praise the Lord! — that Los seems to have turned the corner and battled through the worst of the infection side of things based on how he is doing this morning… resting comfortably now with fever staying lower (at 99.6 range), and strong enough to get CPAP routine going again.
CPAP started 8:10am and going strong so far out of the gates.
X-rays today also look better and clearer than yesterdays. Another great sign that the infection spike is subsiding and Los is fighting through it strong 💪
Los’ hands and arms more relaxed today. He is calm and at rest, and snuggling Chloe’s cheetah stuffed animal in his hand.
Los started off the morning hanging with his dad, Charles, as they were reading through Psalm 23 and Psalm 100, and having some good quality father-son time with the Lord.
Gods got this. 🙏
Let’s go, Los! 💪🙏
