It was a bit of a restless night for Los with nurses helping him work through some neuro-storming and round of fevers and perspiration caused by the storming. Overnight they had to put him back on Dex (sedation med) to get his body / blood pressure / heart rate to settle and recover from some storming episodes. As of this morning, he remains on Dex and is pretty comfortable with occasional minor storming here and there. Fever starting to subside.

The main goal today and the next few days ahead is for the doctors and nurses to help Los find the right balance of meds/ rest/ breathing exercises to get him over and past this current neuro-storming hurdle. As the doctors and nurses work to find the right balances for Los, their hope is that he can get past these storming episodes in the next few days, which will then allow the next step of his recovery process (more focused on neuro-specialized therapy) to kick into gear.

6 hrs off and on with CPAP unassisted breathing yesterday. Just started CPAP this morning again at 9am, and doing great so far.

CT scan on brain / head came back good (negative) late yesterday…. They ordered it to make sure there wasnt anything new on the scan that might be preventing him from awakening from the coma. But all looked clear on those results. X-rays of chest (infection) also looking good and progressing well there.

Main prayers for today — is for Los and his medical team to find the sweet spot and right balance of meds, rest, and CPAP care, and that Los can turn the corner to get past these storming episodes. 🙏🙏
