A pretty good, calm night for Los, as he remains in the coma.  Dex (sedation med) remained off most of the night.  It went on briefly to help with a neuro-storming episode before being turned off.    And is still off this morning. The goal is to keep Dex off (or as low as possible) to allow Los to more easily try and wake up / come out of the coma

This morning, we saw the most movement we have seen in Los’s right arm and hand to date.   Pulling his right arm back towards himself and bending at the elbow (bicep curl motion) in addition to the normal storming rigid direction.    So, it seems like a good sign he is regaining some more mobility on that right side.   🙏

Doctors kept Los on the ventilator through yesterday and through the night to focus on rest, while they continue work to find the right balance of meds to address / help with the storming episodes.  RT explained they have “checked that box” and know Los is doing well breathing on his own but want to allow him to get as much rest and recharge + focus his strength and energy to get past this “storming” hurdle and allow his brain to continue healing.

Let’s keep the prayers flowing 🙏

Let’s go, Los! 💪

Visitor update:    Doctors new orders for anyone visiting in Los’s room….  No touching, No lights, No noises.   If you are visiting, please help make sure these new directions are followed at all times until we hear otherwise.    With the main focus now being rest / helping Los get past these neuro-storming episodes (which are often triggered by stimulation) ….  This quiet, dark, calm setting will help Los remain calm and body at rest while his brain continues to heal.   Silent prayer alongside Los and support for any family members in the waiting room area are still encouraged and appreciated!  🙏
