Foundation Updates

Thank you all for the continued support and encouragement! All of Los’ incredible progress these past weeks would not be possible without your prayers + generous charitable giving. Los, Brooke and their kids feel so blessed by you all, and it’s so inspiring to see a community come together to support their fellow friends and family in need.

The mission of the Love For Los Foundation is to carry this momentum into the years ahead — as Los continues to need intensive rehabilitation for the foreseeable future (outside of what insurance covers), and his family continues to need help with day-to-day living expenses as they are are 100% dedicated to Los’ 24/7 rehabilitation needs (as Los was the sole-provider for their family prior to the accident). Beyond that, it is Brooke’s goal to build this Foundation into a central pillar of this community… To be ready to walk alongside other local families in need.

  • Below are the needs we are continuing to raise funds for:
    Vehicle… We are looking for a Transit-type passenger van for the Bentley family. Los’ truck was totaled in front of their house at the same time Los himself was hit. And Brooke’s aging car is overloaded with Los’ wheelchair, kids, and all their day-to-day gear.   • Rehab for Los — to keep him in the best possible specialty care (care which is not covered by insurance)
  • Housing rent for Los / Brooke — to help with their peace of mind and long-term security
  • Their massive pile of hospital bills (~$1m) stemming from his months-long battle for his life while in a coma in the ICU (most of which was not covered by his family’s medical insurance)
  • And the goal to continue to build this Foundation to be ready to help other local families in need
