Day 55 Charlos was still asleep this morning and having an extended good night of rest. He was responsive to requests or “commands” for movements or tasks. First thing this morning, the PT team brought in the ‘Geri’ chair and Charlos was moved into it for over 30 minutes which he loved! Day 54 The positive progress for Los continues 🙏.    His family and doctors were able to get him to sit up in a chair for a little bit earlier today.  It was a brief, short moment — but an awesome milestone nonetheless.   The hope is to get him more comfortable with sitting up over the coming days, with the goal to get him outside and into some sunshine!! Charlos rested well last night and slept till about 9 AM today when different teams of doctors' therapists, and nurses came to check in on him. Doctors were looking to reduce some medications and increase others. Speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy all visited today for assessments, therapy planning, and PT. Charlos was able to get out of his bed into a ‘Geri chair’ this afternoon, he will be doing a few times this week and he may be able to go outside for the sunshine therapy next week. Updates from Charles (Los’ dad) Day 52 (including days 49, 50,51) Good morning from Charlos’s room…. Day 49 Yes, today, marks seven weeks since Charlos’s accident. It is hard to believe we’ve been here this long; we’ve seen so much improvement and have so much yo be thankful for! Let’s remember to be thankful to the Lord that Los is still here with us, fighting with us and that he is improving every day. Yesterday was another busy day for Charlos with visitors and activity. We had lots of friends and family stop by over the course of the day to visit with him, pray with him, and us, and just genuinely love on him. [...]
